01

A thoughtful starting point.

A number can be useful without being the whole story. A good clinical conversation gives you room to describe what has changed, what matters to you, and what you hope to understand. It also gives the clinician room to explain whether an evaluation or test is relevant.

02

Aging is not a prescription.

The National Institute on Aging notes that keeping some hormone levels at those typical of younger adults may not be necessary or desirable as people age. A biological change does not, by itself, tell us that intervening will improve health. Broad claims of optimization deserve careful examination.

03

Make room for uncertainty.

Ask what a result means in your circumstances, what other explanations are being considered, and what evidence supports a proposed next step. The names in the PepMaxx collection describe intended focus areas. They should never be read as promises of strength, vitality, or a particular medical outcome. Individual suitability and any recommendation require clinical review.
